Banff: Banff Gondola Admission Ticket

Before you book
- The gondola leaves from the end of Mountain Avenue in Banff. A same-day ticket included the free downtown Banff Gondola shuttle and Roam Route 1 rides only until 12 October 2026; after that, pay the Roam fare on Route 1 or drive. Parks Canada's paid lot at the base (CA$17.50 a day from 15 May to 12 October 2026) is small and fills at busy times.
- Not included: the national park pass, which you need for any time in Banff National Park (2026: CA$12.25 an adult a day, free for 17 and under), and food and drink at the summit. Pets and strollers are not allowed; bring ID.
- The gondola runs all year apart from its annual maintenance closure, 17 to 19 November 2026. From 13 October to 16 November it opens 10 AM to 9 PM, with the last ride up at 7:30 PM (the operator's hours page), and the summit's Sky Bistro also closes from 4 to 15 January 2027.
- The ride takes about eight minutes. At the top the boardwalk now ends at a viewpoint before the historic Weather Observatory, with 368 stairs each way, and it is not wheelchair accessible (operator); accessibility requests need 72 hours' notice.
- Cancellation: the listing records no free cancellation and gives no terms, and the operator's FAQ says gondola tickets are non-refundable.
