Banff: Evening Scenic Sunset Tour with Wildlife Spotting

4.5 (274 verified reviews)

Before you book

  • Pickup and drop-off at The Rundlestone Lodge in Banff or the Impark lot at 2801 Bow Valley Trail in Canmore. The tour starts about two hours before sunset, so the time moves through the season; there is no hiking, only short walks from the vehicle.
  • Not included: the Parks Canada pass, which the listing says you need (2026: CA$12.25 an adult a day, free for 17 and under), tips, travel insurance and personal expenses.
  • Wildlife is a chance, not a promise; the listing itself says sightings are never guaranteed. Parks Canada asks you to keep at least 30 m from elk and deer and 100 m from bears, and to stay in the vehicle at roadside sightings. The elk rut lasts until mid-October.
  • Dress warmly, as it gets cold after sunset. Children under 12 come with an adult. Cancellation, as listed: “Cancel up to 24 hours in advance for a full refund.”
