Before you book

  • Meeting points in Calgary, Canmore or Banff, by option, with drop-off where you started; the itinerary allows about 100 minutes on the bus each way. A driver-guide is included; food, drinks and the gondola or hot springs ticket are not, and the listing suggests a $12 a person cash tip.
  • The listing says the operator emails you before the trip to buy the gondola or hot springs ticket. Parks Canada sells Upper Hot Springs entry only in person at reception, with no online or advance tickets, and the springs are closed for maintenance from 13 October to early November 2026. The gondola is closed from 17 to 19 November 2026.
  • Johnston Canyon: from 13 October 2026 Parks Canada closes the trail to the Lower Falls and the Upper Falls lower viewpoint for rock-slope work, with no reopening date; the listing says the visit goes to Marble Canyon or Johnston Canyon depending on weather and trail conditions.
  • Bring a swimsuit and towel if you choose the hot springs. The listing does not say whether the national park pass is included (2026: CA$12.25 an adult a day, free for 17 and under). Cancellation, as listed: “Cancel up to 24 hours in advance for a full refund.”
