Banff: Lake Minnewanka Cruise

Before you book
- Board at the boat dock on Lake Minnewanka, a five-minute walk from the parking lot and the transit stop; the listing puts the lake 15 minutes from Banff. Parking is very limited, so allow time. The free ride on Roam Route 6 that came with a same-day ticket no longer helps: Route 6 ended for the season on 4 October 2026. Ask the operator whether its own Lake Minnewanka Shuttle, which the listing also names, is still running.
- Season: Pursuit runs the cruise from 8 May to 12 October in 2026 and lists 7 May to 11 October for 2027, weather permitting; the boats are heated and covered. The time you book is not guaranteed when boats fill, and a later sailing is offered instead.
- Not included: food, drinks and tips. The listing does not mention the national park pass (2026: CA$12.25 an adult a day, free for 17 and under). Luggage and large bags are not allowed; accessibility requests need 72 hours' notice through the operator's website.
- The Lake Minnewanka Trail along the shore, the Aylmer Pass trail and their campgrounds have been closed since 16 September 2026 “until further notice” because of black bears; the closure does not name the cruise or the day-use area.
- Cancellation: the listing records no free cancellation and gives no terms.
