Banff Nightfall: Lake Minnewanka & Two Jack Stargazing Tour

4.8 (38 verified reviews)

Before you book

  • Pickup from a list of 20 hotels in Banff and Canmore and the Legacy Trail Parking Lot, with drop-off at the same points. Groups are at most 13; tea, hot chocolate, headlamps, a telescope, binoculars and an iPad star app are included. Food and tips are not.
  • It runs only under clear enough skies: heavy cloud, rain, snow, extreme cold or high wind can postpone or cancel it, and the listing promises a full refund then. The aurora is a chance, not a promise. No-shows and missed departures are not refunded.
  • Minimum age 6; adults sign a waiver, and a parent or guardian signs for under-18s. Dress in layers, with a warm hat, gloves and sturdy boots.
  • The listing does not say whether the national park pass is included (2026: CA$12.25 an adult a day, free for 17 and under). Cancellation, as listed: “Cancel up to 24 hours in advance for a full refund.”
