Before you book
- Pickup is at 21 listed Calgary hotels, around 7:30 to 8 am, or in Canmore around 9 to 9:15 am; the exact time comes the day before. Hotels not on the list can ask. You can be dropped in Banff or Canmore at the end on request. The day lasts 10 to 12 hours.
- The listing's stops: Canmore (20 minutes), Lake Louise (2 hours), Banff Avenue and the Banff Gondola (105 minutes each) and Bow Falls. Included: the gondola ticket, water, and crampons in winter. Not included: meals, lodging and other activities such as canoe rental. The listing does not mention the national park pass, and the gondola ticket does not cover it.
- The Banff Gondola closes for annual maintenance from 17 to 19 November 2026. The summit station is at 2,281 m, the ride takes about eight minutes, and the boardwalk now ends at a viewpoint before the historic Weather Observatory, with 368 shallow stairs each way (Pursuit). Parks Canada says the hikes to the Lake Louise teahouses are not safe from November to mid-May because of avalanche hazard.
- Not suitable for people afraid of heights, and not wheelchair or stroller accessible; no pets. Infants cannot sit on laps and no infant seats are supplied, so bring your own. Cancellation, as listed: “Cancel up to 24 hours in advance for a full refund”.
