From Canmore/ Banff: Sunrise Moraine Lake and Lake Louise

Before you book

• Pickup from a list of 21 hotels, campgrounds and lots in Canmore, Banff and Lake Louise, among them the Banff Train Station and the Legacy Trail Parking Lot; be there 15 minutes early. The listing gives about 6 hours 30 minutes in all, 2.5 hours of it on the road.
• Included: hot drinks, blankets, headlamps, seat mats, umbrellas, hiking poles and what the listing calls “Entrance fees to Moraine Lake and Lake Louise”. It does not name the national park pass, which every adult needs (2026: CA$12.25 a day); Parks Canada says it requires no per-passenger fee for Moraine Lake, so ask the operator whether the pass is covered.
• Season: Moraine Lake Road is closed to private cars all year, and Parks Canada let shuttles and licensed tour vehicles use it from 1 June to 12 October in 2026. Do not count on a sunrise trip after 12 October; no 2027 dates are published.
• It runs in all weather. Not suitable for people with mobility impairments; smoking and alcohol are not allowed. Cancellation, as listed: “Cancel up to 24 hours in advance for a full refund.”
